Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC)
CIMC is an embedded management chip located on the system board of Cisco UCS servers. It is essentially a remote control used by system administrators to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot server hardware, even when the server is powered off or the main operating system is crashed.

Cisco Catalyst Centre
The MP Catalyst Centre servers (two servers) currenlty run on two separate UCS servers, each of this servers have a CIMC for passwords details please check the password database.
MP has two UCS servers as follows:
- DN3-HW-APL-L Gen 3 Server Ip address 10.21.124.100
- DN2-HW-APL-L Gen2 server. Ip address 10.124.10.11
Note: If the server was powered off other than through the CIMC (i.e. Power Outage), the server will not become active immediately when powered on.
To Power up the Server After Power Outage Do the Following:
Before You Begin You must log in as a user with user privileges to power on the server.
Procedure
- Step 1 Log in as a user with user privileges to power on the server.
- Step 2 In the Navigation pane, click the Host Power.
- Step 2 On the Submenu click, Power On.
- Step 3 A dialog box with the message Power on the server? appears.
- Step 4 Click OK.
