1. Start a remote desktop session on MRS-RDP and login with your admin credentials.

  2. Open Group Policy Management via the Server Manager > Tools > Group Policy Management.


  3. Find the "Default Domain Policy", click on Settings to view the current account lockout settings. Or right click the policy and click "Edit" to edit the policy. 


  4. If editing, click on Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Account Policies > Account Lockout Policy.


  5. Start a remote desktop session on RLA-DC01 with your admin credentials.

  6. From Server Manager, click on Tools > Active Directory Administrative Center.


  7. Click on Mopt (local) > System > Password Settings Container


  8. Right click each of these policies, and click Properties.

  9. Change "Account will be locked out" > "For a duration of (mins)", and "Reset failed logon attempts count after" settings and click OK.
