In order for the password self-reset to function, the "Mobile" field within the AD users properties needs to be filled out.

The self-reset portal can be found here.

The format of the mobile number must be +61 instead of 0, with no spaces in the phone number.

For example, 0447 852 156 would be +61447852156.


  1. Start a new remote desktop session on mrs-rdp.

  2. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.

  3. Click the search button in the top navigation bar.

  4. Enter the users name in the Name field, click "Find Now", then double click on the user.


  5. Click on the "Telephones" field, then enter the mobile number in the format mentioned above.
  6. Click "OK".
