If you have forgotten your Microsoft 365 password or need to reset it, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the Password Reset Portal

1. Open a web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, etc.).
2. Go to the Microsoft Online Password Reset page:
   https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/passwordreset#!/

Step 2: Start the Password Reset Process

1. Click "I forgot my password."
2. Click Next to proceed.

Step 3: Enter Your User Information

1. Enter your  email address.
2. Type the characters shown in the CAPTCHA box.
3. Click Next.

Step 4: Verify Your Identity

1. Choose a verification method (options depend on your account setup):
   • Phone: Receive a verification code via SMS or call.
2. Select the preferred method and follow the instructions to receive your verification code.

Step 5: Enter the Verification Code

1. Retrieve the verification code from your phone, email, or authenticator app.
2. Enter the code into the password reset page.
3. Click Next.

Step 6: Create a New Password

1. Enter a new password that meets security requirements:
   • Minimum 17 characters
   • At least 1 uppercase letter
   • At least 1 special character (e.g., !@#-$%^&*)
   • At least 1 number
   • Cannot contain your name
2. Example password: Mopt-Tennishq-Lv5
3. Confirm the new password by typing it again.
4. Click Finish or Submit.

Step 7: Sign In with Your New Password

1. Go to https://portal.office.com or any Microsoft 365 service.
2. Log in using your email and the new password.
3. If prompted, update your credentials on any connected devices or apps.
